Crewmember of the month:

Hey what’s up? My name is Alex, Salesforce developer at 2ManyDigits. I just joined the club! After a lifetime of working in hospitality in different job positions and working as a freelance digital marketeer, it was time to find something else. I basically looked back to my younger self and wondered what my aspirations back then were.

I did thought about joining AFC Ajax for a second, but software development is a good second choice. 😉

Why did you join 2ManyDigits?

It’s the Nikes. 😊 J/K, it was a combination of things. The personal approach, the fun factor, and the 2ManyDigits crew don’t take themselves too seriously. It’s fun to be working here!

What does a typical day look like?

My days usually revolves around food. ‘What will I eat for breakfast? Hey, I’m looking forward to lunch, cause I’m having noodles today. Did I forget to bring a snack? Ah no, it’s in my bag. What about dinner?’

I love food. Besides food I’m just a guy who does his thing, could be working, chilling, gaming, playing padel or hanging with family and friends.

What’s your fuel?

To know that every day is a brand new day to grow. You take what you learned from yesterday, and apply it today. Being able to wake up, challenge me, and see the rewards of succeeding is extremely gratifying. That’s my fuel. Oh, and xiao long bao AKA soup dumplings. Believe me, you should try it.

How do you relax?

Enjoying or cooking food, with the company of my loved ones. It’s great feeling to cook food for your loved ones and see them enjoy it. It relaxes me as well 😊

So what’s your guilty pleasure?

Watching YouTube videos about food and the cultural traditions of said food. I could do this all day.

Tell us about your current Spotify playlist

Music is a vibe. The music I listen to, will reflect how my mood is in that moment. Which means my taste in music is quite broad. From 80’s new jack swing, to punk rock, to R&B or nowadays Billie Eilish. At the moment I’m listening to ASTN, he did a cover on a single by Billie Eilish: Happier Than Ever. Fire. 🔥

Which book did you recently read that you can recommend?

I don’t read as much as I would like. I’m not a huge fan of fiction anyways, so when I read, it’s to gather knowledge. The last book I read was “JavaScript. The Definitive Guide” by David Flanagan. I’m definitely a podcast-addict though. Most of the time I’m on the go, so podcasts are ideal for me. At the moment I have a couple of podcasts in my rotation: Munchies: the podcast, which is about food. And How I Built This, an inspiring podcast series where founders of the world’s best companies talk about the movements they’ve built. I am trying to find more inspiring podcasts about Salesforce and programming. So if anyone knows a good one, I’d love to hear about it!

Any final thoughts?

Ready and excited to embark on this new adventure at 2ManyDigits. Ok, what’s for dinner?
