In the ever-evolving world of technology, Salesforce has once again taken a monumental step forward with the launch of their latest product, the Einstein 1 Platform. Packed with innovative features, this platform promises to revolutionize the way enterprises interact with their data, streamline decision-making processes, and empower users like never before.
This years’ Dreamforce keynote introduced us to Einstein Copilot Studio. Giving salesforce professionals to setup and control how Generative AI is used with all of the data connected or already existing in a Salesforce instance. In short: it’s an AI assistant, build into the Salesforce platform. Einstein Copilot Studio will launch in pilot mode this fall.

Artificial Intelligence Revolution
We’ve found ourselves in the middle of a data and AI revolution. It seems that every day there are multiple new AI tools and ways to implement AI in our daily lives, so much it is getting really hard to keep track of all the amazing possibilities. However, as we are learning how and when AI can make our lives easier, there are difficulties to overcome to achieve these AI goals. Many companies might not have the right technology in place; instead, they have different software programs, their own data storage systems, and separate ways of sharing information – all of which make it hard to connect and use their data effectively.
Bottleneck of Fast Technology Innovations
Customer data is scattered all over the place. Typically, companies use quite a number of different programs and not a lot of them work together smoothly. This means that the systems businesses use to store and manage customer information have become more complicated over time. Previous changes in technology, like the rise of cloud computing, social media, and mobile devices, have created big pockets of customer data that are isolated from each other.

Data Cloud is a platform that combines the strength of Salesforce with the ability to handle vast amounts of data almost instantly. It can handle an enormous amount of data—think trillions of records, which is equivalent to a whopping one thousand terabytes. Just to give you an idea, one terabyte is the same as one thousand gigabytes. Remember your first computer? How many gigabytes did it have?
Data Cloud, now available for Enterprise customers with Sales and Service Cloud, brings together different types of information, like customer records and how people behave, from various sources. It allows companies to gather and organize lots of data from other companies or sources to make a complete picture of each customer.
The Einstein 1 Platform
What organizations need is one platform that’s capable of connecting their data. This doesn’t necessarily mean that all data needs to be in one place, but there needs to be a connection. In Salesforce’s eyes, it has to be low-code and also open, to enable different providers to support Salesforce customers.
When you have all this data in one place, it becomes a strong base for using artificial intelligence and automation across your whole company. This means businesses can set up useful processes like automatically finding potential customers, dividing their audience into different groups, and offering personalized options. This is where Einstein 1 Platform shows it’s power. It brings together Einstein AI features and Data Cloud seamlessly into the CRM. This means that businesses can now easily combine scattered customer information, create applications with AI intelligence effortlessly, and integrate smart processes directly into the everyday tasks of their employees.
The Star of the Show: Einstein Copilot
One of the most exciting and game-changing aspects of the Einstein 1 Platform is Einstein Copilot. A new and trusted out-of-the-box conversational AI assistant, built-in in the side panel of the user interface of any Salesforce application.
Einstein Copilot will drive productivity by assisting users within their flow of work, enabling them to ask questions in natural language, and receive relevant and trustworthy answers. In addition, Einstein Copilot proactively offers options for additional actions beyond the user’s query – such as a recommended action plan after a sales call, or creating a new service knowledge article.
Einstein Copilot Studio
This multifaceted toolset. For Admins or other Salesforce professionals, exists of the Prompt Builder, Skill Builder, and Model Builder, offering a wealth of capabilities that are set to redefine how businesses utilize the potential of artificial intelligence and data-driven insights. Let’s break it down.
1. Prompt Builder
Essentially turns every admin into a highly sought-after prompt engineer. This means admins can be at the forefront of this AI revolution. You’re no longer constrained by how technical language models can be, and instead can focus on building the experiences that are deeply embedded in the flow of work, while adding and enriching prompts better than anyone else.
With this tool we can create prompt templates, choose how we want to use the prompts in Salesforce data, and activate for users quickly and easily. In simpler terms: build, test, and deploy generative AI prompts for your users.
2. Skills
The skills builder empowers companies to incorporate actions into prompts. Shih explained that Einstein Copilot no longer solely accesses and responds to data. With the skills builder, businesses can control and designate which automations Copilot can access and execute. With the skills builder, businesses can decide and specify which tasks Copilot can do. For instance, companies can use Copilot to do things like analysing their competition or managing customer objections when closing deals.
3. Model
The final component of Einstein Copilot Studio allows businesses to bring their own models (Bring Your Own Model/BYOM) or leverage supported third-party offerings from companies such as Anthropic, Cohere, Databricks, Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, or OpenAI. The flexibility to select your own AI model for your own specific business needs will enable Einstein Copilot with more accurate insights and content tailored to unique employee or customer dynamics.
